What are your green credentials?

COP26 kicked off with the world watching and waiting with bated breath as to whether change can really be brought about.

With the future of the planet in the hands of ‘world leaders’, will they be able to find a breakthrough to reduce CO2 emissions?

Eyes particularly are on the main culprits; those countries producing the lion’s share of CO2.

China produces the most CO2 gases, taking responsibility for over 28% of the world’s emissions. The USA emits just half that but still at 14%. India produces 7%, Russia 5% and Japan 3%.

The UK accounts for 1% of the world’s emissions but that still puts us at 17th out of 197 countries.

Now is the time to make a change before it’s too late, but what are your green credentials?

We have been working hard to put responsibility and the planet at the core of everything we do.

Our Partners: We have partnered with leading manufacturers in Europe who share in our responsibility values, producing plastic pallets made from recycled plastic.

Responsibility: We are leading the way recycling plastic pallets and boxes in the UK; guaranteeing to take full responsibility for recycling the plastic pallets and boxes we supply.

Accredited: We are accredited by the Environment Agency, as an Exporter of Plastic Packaging Waste. We have recycled 127 tonnes of plastic this year and 793 tonnes since we launched our recycling scheme in 2019.

Reducing CO2 in Transportation: We ensure that all of our import transportation trucks are always loaded to the maximum possible weight and volume, to ensure they are running at their maximum efficiency and in both directions. In addition, our distribution team in the UK works closely with the pallet delivery network to greatly reduce the “part loaded” miles of trucks running to their final destination.

Our Products: Not only are 96% of our plastic pallets made from recycled plastic, the energy needed to produce them is far less as we are using a waste material. No trees were harmed in the making of our pallets! Our nestable pallets are also space saving, reducing cost in transportation.

Locally, we are also holders of the Single Use Plastic Free Eastbourne Award. We were awarded this by the Plastic Free Eastbourne Campaign in association with the Eastbourne Chamber for our commitment to tackling the usage of single use plastic.
