Thank you and goodbye, Chris!

Today, we bid a fond farewell to our Co-Founder and Operations Director Chris Adam, who is retiring after 31 successful years at goplasticpallets.com.

After launching the company in 1993, alongside Managing Director Jim Hardisty, Chris has played a pivotal role in growing goplasticpallets.com into the UK’s leading provider of sustainable plastic pallets and boxes.

Not only has Chris been integral to our ongoing growth, leading the logistical and operational arm of the business for the last three decades, but he has also been a strong advocate for sustainability – helping to design and roll-out our industry-leading recycling scheme, which has seen us recycle in excess of 1591 tonnes of plastic since 2019, smashing internal targets.

As he retires, Chris will be looking forward to spending more time with his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as enjoying the sunshine at his holiday home in Spain.

Commenting on Chris’ departure, Jim said: “It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside Chris for the last 31 years. Together, we have grown a business that supplies countless industry-leading companies, partners with the best manufacturers, employs brilliant people, and prioritises sustainable supply chains.

“It has been a fantastic journey and everybody at goplasticpallets.com is very sad to see Chris go. However, we wish him a relaxing and rewarding retirement. It is very much deserved. Thank you for everything, Chris.”
